Heat and Moisture Exchanger with Filter (HME Filter):
Passive HMEs provide an effective and straightforward method to replicate a key function of the upper airway, particularly the nose. They work by capturing the heat and moisture from exhaled air and using it to warm and humidify the inhaled air. Because they mimic the natural conditioning role of the nasal passages, HMEs are often referred to as "artificial noses."

In addition to temperature and humidity regulation, HMEs deliver high-level microbial filtration to help protect both patients and healthcare staff. They offer excellent moisture output to support optimal airway humidification, all while maintaining low airflow resistance—making them compatible with any ventilation method.
